Because the lens for video calling is on the front using the secondary camera. You can’t video call using the 8mp main camera.

I bought one of these and was pretty happy with it, but the speaker went bad after a few weeks. We’ll see if the phone comes back from the shop in better shape.
The only downside I’ve found in it besides the noisy speaker is the display. Really, really bad in sunlight.

Ouh thats the primary cam the one located at the back..when you do a video call you use the secondary cam which on the top right hand coner of the screen..so you can see each other and communicate..((;
I am curious, on Nokia site in description they say it has video calling. How can you have a true video call if the lens is in the back? Isn’t video calling where you can see each other? I am on Sprint and **** it! they never get the good phones and if do get a decent one they put so many restrictions on it you can’t get what you want out of it. I **** to loose my Direct Connect but I am wanting to switch if I can find a phone I really love and think this is it!
i have a 5800 which you can turn on the flash for video although it’s not very powerful only has a very short range and the n86 has a better camera so don’t see why it should be any different
Yup it does, its been since a long time on all nokias
holding the menu key on most symbian 60 devices brings up the task manager, and this being an s60 (v5?) should be no different. My 3230 has it and the thing is like 5 years old now so i’m sure the n86 does.

can someone tell me if this phone has the multitask button? for other phones like n95 or nokia 6110 navigator, they have that button which is actually the menu button. holding awhile longer would allow u to multitask like an alt tab. so does this phone has that menu button??
i don’t really think so. i’ve never seen a nokia phone which can on it’s light while videoing.

I don’t need a Qwerty, I don’t need that much memory. I do need a smaller phone with a better camera. Thus, I will buy the N86. To each their own.

Guys, stop worry about the mega pixels. Leave that in the hands of digital cameras. My Nokia 5800 has a 3.2MP camara. Very average but I have a digital camera of 7MP. You dont need more than 5MP unless you want to take bill board size photos. 99% of us dont do this. I will get this phone as I love Nokia and Symbian. This phone is not that pretty but has tremendous features. I don’t like my 5800 as I am not into Touchscreen no more. BTW The 5800 is great phone but I miss buttons as a mobile gamer
