Hey guys, here’s a quick overview and first impressions of the new Blackberry Tour 9630. Sorry about the creepy characterture in the background…didn’t realize it was there while I was filming. Also apologies for the mirrored effect, using my MBP’s iSight camera and I couldn’t figure out how to reverse it =(

get the Sprint ovr verizon you will save more a month, the only thing that bothers me is the back cover it leaves a lot of finger prints!

Yes, well at least on Verizon you have to. It’s $30 extra a month for the BIS plan and I think $44 for the BES plan.

do u have to pay the monthly internet fees for this phone? or u have the option to choose wether or not you’ll take the internet with this phone? if u dont have that option, and need to take internet along with the phone, how much is internet fee a month?

It really depends on if you like the touch screen or not…If you like the touch screen, go with the palm pre…if you don’t, go with the tour

Blake- coming from my 8830 I would recommend it if you have an upgrade available. The keyboard is very very similar, just a bit smaller and the keys aren’t so clacky. The whole device overall is much faster and the camera is actually really nice quality.

like my 8830 keyboard, will not be updating because of this. Digital camera would be nice, but I can buy a killer digital camera for the price of the “upgrade”. I would be interested to know if the upgrade was worth it going from the 8830 to the Tour. Nice video!

Nah, it has nothing to do with that. I’ve had it on 1XEV since I got the phone, but Global wouldn’t limit it to 1X. Verizon is having problems with their EVDO on newly activated BB’s right now, hopefully it’s fixed soon.

You might be getting 1X because you’re mobile network is set up as Global…go to options>mobile network> set it to 1XEV and see if that solves your problem

exact same thing happened to me and verizon said it was the structure of the building I was in witch means they are clueless about it

I actually noticed the same thing today, I got mine on Sunday, and it was working great. Today however, my data signal was weak. What do you think your going to do? If it continues, is it just a matter of getting a new Tour?
